Defense Systems founder and executive instructor, Charles Barribeau, is
a Certified Executive Instructor in Paul Vunak's Progressive Fighting System
(PFS). Charles is one of 50 premiere instructors that teach the Progressive
Fighting Systems curriculum to anyone seeking instruction.
The founder of PFS, Paul Vunak, is considered by most the authory on Jeet Kune Do today. He has taught police agencies and military groups such as the Navy Seals. The PFS cirriculum focuses on street fighting, preparing its students to competently handle assaults.
Our martial arts curricula have a similar focus. In martial arts, there are two general focuses—one is self preservation (focusing on practical defense), the other is self-perfection (focusing on the art of combat). We stress preservation.
